Chelsea fans are absolutely loving the emergence of Billy Gilmour following his display against Liverpool and have taken their affection for the youngster to a whole new level on social media.
Gilmour was awarded the man of the match after starring in Chelsea’s 2-0 victory over Liverpool at Stamford Bridge in the fifth round of the FA Cup.
The 18-year-old midfielder was handed his chance to impress on the big stage and emerged with plenty of plaudits.
Chelsea fans took to social media to post a mocked-up version of Gilmour’s heat map from the game.
And, rather impressively, Gilmour’s heat map had the outline of a goat – an obvious reference to the tag ‘Greatest Of All Time’.
Chelsea fans lapped up the banter from one of their fellow Blues.
“Billy the goat. I like it,” said one fan.

And it wasn’t just the fans who took note of his display against the European champions.

“What an incredible performance for a young player,” Lampard said afterwards.
“He was a calm head in that first five or 10 minutes. He’s a throwback of a midfielder.
“Can you put your foot in? Yes. Can you make angles to play the passes? Yes.
“He’s only slight in stature but he’s huge in personality. He deserves people to talk about him after a performance like that.”
The praise didn’t stop there with BBC pundit Alan Shearer waxing lyrical about the teenager’s performance.
