Chelsea star Billy Gilmour ‘ate’ Liverpool star Fabinho’s self-belief, fans have joked, as throwback footage emerged of the youngster.

The Scot was a shining star in the Blues’ 2-0 win over Liverpool in the FA Cup fifth round.

Gilmour especially impressed in his battle with Fabinho in the middle of the park.

It was only his sixth appearance in the famous jersey for Frank Lampard’s side.

And fans quickly heaped praise on the 18-year-old, dubbing him the “new Xavi” .

Footage has now re-emerged of the midfielder’s winning daily routine.

Cameras for the club followed Gilmour as a 15-year-old in the club’s academy for 24 hours.

As he arrives at Cobham, the Scot grabs some breakfast – a poached egg on toast with beans.

“I have this just before training,” he explains.

“It’s so I have enough fuel for training.”

This footage was originally shared on the club’s official YouTube channel in December 2017, where it has been viewed more than two million times.

A screenshot Gilmour’s breakfast was then republished on Reddit on Wednesday, where fans all said the same thing.

It comes a boss Lampard heaped praise on the 18-year-old for his game against the Reds.
