There is no doubt that 18-year old midfielder Billy Gilmour was the talk of the town after Chelsea’s 2-0 FA Cup victory over Liverpool this week.
Gilmour rightly picked up the man of the match award and played like a guy ten years his senior playing in his prime, rather than a young lad who will not turn 19 until June.
There was a number of key moments in this game when Liverpool could have got back in the match, if not for an individual piece of brilliance from one of the Chelsea players.
On this occasion, it was Gilmour again who caught up with the run of Mane into the box and muscled him off the ball in a perfectly timed interception that quite possibly saved a goal.
