Callum Hudson-Odoi has suffered a fresh injury setback.
The winger has been out of action since after the winter break with a hamstring problem.
Hudson-Odoi broke into the Blues team last season, with interest from the likes of Bayern Munich as his contract threatened to run down for the 2020/21 season.
However, an Achilles injury put paid to any hope of a move in January 2019, and by the summer the winger had agreed a new five-year contract at Stamford Bridge.

Since Frank Lampard’s arrival in West London, the 19-year-old has been a regular feature in the first team, scoring four goals and creating another six in all competitions this season.
However, Lampard confirmed that Hudson-Odoi had picked up a hamstring problem during the winter break, and has missed subsequent fixtures against Manchester United, Spurs, Bayern Munich, Bournemouth and Liverpool.
The manager had hoped that Hudson-Odoi would not miss too much football, but the Athletic report that the winger has aggravated his injury.
It is not yet clear how much time this will add to the England international’s time on the sidelines, but it comes at a bad time for Chelsea.
Christian Pulisic has missed plenty of football recently, though he has confirmed that he is close to a comeback. Meanwhile, Willian suffered an Achilles problem against Liverpool, and the likes of N’Golo Kante and Mateo Kovacic are also suffering in midfield, while Jorginho will miss a number of games through suspension.
The Blues managed to get past league leaders Liverpool in the FA Cup on Tuesday to secure their progress to the quarter-finals, where they will face Leicester City.
