Latest Chelsea transfer rumours: German wonderkid in talks, Man City want Billy Gilmour

Chelsea will be looking to build on their midweek FA Cup triumph over Liverpool when they welcome Everton to Stamford Bridge on Sunday afternoon.

The Blues, who currently occupy fourth in the table, progressed to the last-eight of the FA Cup on Tuesday evening with a 2-0 victory over a Liverpool side that still appeared to be coming to terms with the shock of losing 3-0 to Watford in the Premier League last Saturday.

Now that Chelsea have secured their spot in the FA Cup quarter-finals, which will see them travel to Leicester City, Frank Lampard and his players have got to switch their focus back to their league form, as they look to try and secure a top-four finish.

Right now, it is the Blues that are in prime position to bag that final top-four spot, as they hold a three-point cushion to Manchester United in fifth.

But even though securing a top-four finish would be a great achievement for the Blues this season, you can guarantee that Lampard will be hoping to bolster his squad next season, with a view to looking even higher up the table.

And with that in mind, here is a round-up of the day’s very latest Chelsea transfer news.

Chelsea open talks for German wonderkid

The Sun are reporting that Chelsea have opened talks with Bundesliga. 2 side Vfl Bochum over a move for 18-year-old defender Armel Bella-Kotchap.

The youngster only put pen to paper on his first professional contract with the German club a year ago but he has already lit up the German second-tier with his collection of fine performances.

Even though he has only played eight times in the league this season, Bella-Kotchap is attracting interest from a collection of big clubs, including Chelsea.

The report claims that the centre-back, who is a Germany Under-18 international, would be available for £6.5million.
