Here are your Chelsea morning headlines for Friday, 6th March.

Lampard gets injury boost

Christian Pulisic has delivered a huge injury update.

The attacker has been sidelined since the beginning of January with an abductor muscle problem, missing games against the likes of Arsenal, Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, Bayern Munich and Liverpool.

But in a massive boost for Lampard, Pulisic has taken to Instagram, stating that he is “super close” to returning to action.

It remains to be seen when the USA international will be fully fit and available for action.

Although, he could play a huge role in the season run-in with the west London outfit hoping for a top-four finish in the Premier League as well as winning the FA Cup.

Hudson-Odoi setback

However, it’s not all good news on the injury front for the Blues and Lampard.

Callum Hudson-Odoi has suffered a fresh injury setback.

The winger has been out of action since after the winter break with a hamstring problem.

Lampard had hoped that Hudson-Odoi would not miss too much football, but the Athletic report that the winger has aggravated his injury.

It is not yet clear how much time this will add to the England international’s time on the sidelines, but it does not seem a return to action within the next couple of weeks is on the cards.
