Chelsea take on Everton this afternoon, with former Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti set to return to Stamford Bridge with his Toffees side.

Frank Lampard will want to continue where the Blues left off against Liverpool in midweek, with his side beating the Premier League leaders 2-0 in the FA Cup fifth round.

But visitors Everton have been in good form themselves, and will want to claim all three points in their own quest for European football.

Carlo Ancelotti’s message

Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti says he is relishing his return to Chelsea on Sunday.

The former Chelsea boss will be back in the dugout at Stamford Bridge as an opposing manager, having enjoyed success during his time in west London a decade ago.

Ancelotti led the Blues to a league and cup double in his first season at the club in 2009-10, and the Italian is looking forward to returning to Stamford Bridge with Everton.

“It will be an emotional moment for me,” he said.

“I have fantastic memories of the period I was there. I’m really excited to come back.”

Meanwhile, Lampard is hoping that Ancelotti will be given a good reception from the Stamford Bridge faithful, adding that he has huge respect for the Italian and what he achieved during his time in west London.
