Chelsea player ratings: Billy Gilmour and Mason Mount exceptional in Everton rout

Kepa Arrizabalaga

Had very little to do in the first half. One time Everton got through, but Dominic Calvert-Lewin dinked it wide. Confident in his box as well.

Came out and claimed the ball on a couple of occasions in the second half and looked good in goal again. 7

Cesar Azpilicueta

A really solid 45 minutes from the skipper at right-back. Got forward a couple of times, but defensively was in the right place and let very little go past him.

Again in the second half he put a massive shift in. Worked hard and didn’t give the Everton players anything to work with. Had a good shot saved late on. 8

Kurt Zouma

Very solid in the tackle and coming to claim balls that were directed at him. However, a couple of sloppy moments on the ball which almost put his team in trouble.

Got even stronger in the second half as well. Everton didn’t really have a chance of note and he showed a lot of confidence once again. 8

Antonio Rudiger

Very strong against Calvert-Lewin and Richarlison. Got Zouma out of trouble on occasions with good covering, while he was excellent in the centre of defence.

Like Zouma he grew stronger as the game went on. Really important for this defence to get another clean sheet and they did it easily. 8

Didn’t get forward quite as much in the second half, but solid defensively, which is what the Blues needed from him. 7

Mason Mount

An excellent first half, summed up with his goal. His first since December, but took it brilliantly on the turn. Worked really hard off it as well, but really set the tempo.
