The Mirror state that the striker is looking for a deal that puts him level with the club’s top stars following a raft of new contracts being signed by players over the last year.

The likes of Reece James, Mason Mount, Fikayo Tomori, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Billy Gilmour have all penned new deals, while Callum Hudson-Odoi also ended speculation about his future this season with a big contract at Stamford Bridge.

Abraham is apparently waiting it out to get a new deal that will put him level with Hudon-Odoi on wages after enjoying a breakthrough season for the Blues.

He will still have two years left on his current deal at the end of the season, and does want to remain at Chelsea, so there is no reason to panic just yet.

The Blues are coming off the back of an impressive FA Cup win over Liverpool on Tuesday night, but the injury issues for Lampard have started to mount.

Mateo Kovacic is another player set to miss the match, with Jorginho suspended and N’Golo Kante also set to be on the sidelines for another game.

That means Billy Gilmour could get another start in the middle of the park after his exceptional display in midweek, however, there is a choice to make over his partner.
