Watching Chelsea comfortably beat Everton 4-0 on Sunday was not only thoroughly enjoyable, but it was also full of surprises.
The first one was that we actually decided to take our chances, something that has been missing from far too many of our games this season. Second was that we got a clean sheet.
Then next, was the unreal performance from Ross Barkley, who even got me so shocked that he had me comparing him to the legendary Zinedine Zidane, even if it was tongue in cheek!
What about old bloody Ross Zinedine Barkley though eh!? Jeeeeeeez! pic.twitter.com/TfzaHuxxxn

Barkley has had some critique this season, and quite often deservedly so. He’s been very poor in some games and at the least has had an inconsistent time.
But his performance on Sunday was nothing short of being world class, and the stats below proves this.
98% passing accuracy is just incredible, especially for someone who has often been prone to giving the ball away.
Then just look at the rest, 6 key passes, 5 out of 5 long balls attempted hit their mark – just incredible stuff.
Viva Ross Barkley, that’s what I say, keep making us eat our words please!
