Chelsea were having a successful first season under head coach Frank Lampard.

Before the outbreak of coronavirus around the world caused leagues to be suspended, Chelsea were sitting in fourth place in the Premier League table.

Should the season finish now, it would mean Champions League football again for the club.

However, there are still nine games left to play and there are teams breathing down their neck. Manchester United in fifth are three points behind, while Wolves and Sheffield United are just five points adrift going into the final games of the season.
