Birthday boy Jadon Sancho tipped to snub Man Utd transfer and join Bayern Munich instead

While most pundits have tipped Jadon Sancho to join either Manchester United, Liverpool or Chelsea when he quits Borussia Dortmund, former Germany captain Lothar Matthaus thinks Bayern Munich are in with a shout of crashing the transfer party.

Sancho, who turned 19-years-of-age on Wednesday, has continued to crank up transfer talk by taking the Bundesliga by storm once again this season.

The former Manchester City winger has scored 14 goals and supplied 16 assists in 23 appearances to attract interest from the biggest Premier League teams, as well as admiring glances from the likes of Real Madrid.

Matthaus, a Bayern legend, admits that Sancho returning to the country he was born in is the most likely scenario, but he pointed out how useful the attacker would be to Bavarian giants Bayern due to his ability to operate on both flanks.
