With no football being played on the field, attention is beginning to turn to matters away from the pitch.
Although there is uncertainty over how the summer transfer window will work this season, work is still being done on ensuring that clubs are able to secure their targets once the window does open.
Chelsea have already made one addition ahead of the window with Hakim Ziyech joining from Dutch side Ajax in a £33.4 million deal.
It is suggested that Frank Lampard will be given more money to spend in the transfer window after the transfer ban last year.
One reported target is Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho, who has impressed in the Bundesliga this season.
But Chelsea are not the only club said to be interested in the England international, with Manchester United and Liverpool also linked.
Here is the latest on the 20-year-old’s future.
He may be one of the star men for Dortmund, but Sancho has had his issues at the club this season.
Sancho was substituted in Dortmund’s 4-0 defeat at Bayern Munich in November, with Lucien Favre admitting the winger’s performance was “not good enough”.
After returning late from Three Lions duty, Sancho was also dropped and fined, and publicly criticised by sporting director Michael Zorc and as well as Favre.

According to The Athletic, the sequence of events left the teenager feeling ‘humiliated’, ‘scapegoated’ and ‘unprotected’, which led to increased speculation over his future.
However, he has been in superb form since returning to the team.
Nevertheless, allowing the 20-year-old to leave would almost certainly be of financial reward for the Bundesliga outfit, and while a January switch is unlikely, it is understood that the club could be willing to allow him leave in the summer.
