Chelsea only added one player to their first-team squad over the past two transfer windows when Christian Pulisic arrived from Borussia Dortmund. It is clear that Frank Lampard’s squad needs a level of investment this summer, with a deal for Ajax star Hakim Ziyech already completed.
The Blues are on course for a top four finish but have had a number of flaws and weaknesses highlighted throughout the season. With this in mind, they are likely to be linked with a number of arrivals over the next few months.
Here are three of the latest players to be linked to Chelsea.
Chelsea eye Jovic

Jovic, 22, joined Los Blancos in a landmark €60m deal last summer from Eintracht Frankfurt but he has started only four league games and has found himself frozen out of Zinedine Zidane’s plans.
The Serbian striker was prolific for Frankfurt last season and he netted a devastating 27 goals for the club, including 10 in the Europa League – which included netting at home and away to Chelsea in their semi-final tie, alongside scoring his penalty.
That prompted the Bundesliga club to trigger their purchase option on a deal from Benfica, before selling permanently to Madrid – where he has failed to dislodge primary attacking star Karim Benzema. The Frenchman has carried the goalscoring mantle almost single-handedly since Cristiano Ronaldo’s departure to Juventus in 2018. It now appears, as reported by Marca (via The Sun), that Jovic could be on the move and Chelsea are in the running for the striker.
The long-term futures of Olivier Giroud and Michy Batshuayi at Stamford Bridge appear to be increasingly uncertain, Tammy Abraham the only long-term striking option at the club.
