So we have gone back through the years to pick out seven great Chelsea goals that you may have forgotten.

Bjarne Goldbaek vs Tottenham Hotspur (May 11, 1999)

After he struck twice against the Blues in the Cup Winners’ Cup for FC Kobenhavn, Goldbaek arrived at Stamford Bridge as part of a deal which took Brian Laudrup to the Danish capital.

He only ever made 15 starts in the Premier League for Chelsea and departed for Fulham a little over a year after he joined. It was an unremarkable spell at Stamford Bridge, but one that did include a remarkable goal.

It came at White Hart Lane against Spurs. Goldbaek received a pass from Dennis Wise 35 yards from goal. He took a touch, then another to steady himself before he lashed an unstoppable drive across goal and into the far corner.

Geremi vs Portsmouth (December 28, 2003)

It’s easy to overlook that Geremi spent four years as a Chelsea player and won two Premier League titles, an FA Cup, and the League Cup.

He only scored four goals during his time at Stamford Bridge and the standout was undoubtedly his volley against Portsmouth. A Jesper Gronkjaer cross was cleared and the ball looped towards the midfielder 25 yards out.

Under pressure he decided to smash the ball towards goal and his shot flew over the head of goalkeeper Harald Wapenaar and into the net.
