Blues retain interest in Donnarumma

Italian outlet Tuttosport claim Chelsea are ready to offer Gianluigi Donnarumma a five-year deal worth €8 million-per-season before bonuses.

It has also been mooted that Kepa Arrizabalaga may be used as a makeweight in any deal that would bring 21-year-old Donnarumma to Stamford Bridge.

Donnarumma’s current deal at San Siro runs until the end of next season, and the Italian club know if they wish to cash in on the international ‘keeper, they will be forced to listen to offers this summer.

Manchester United ahead in race for Sancho’s signature have reported Borussia Dortmund and England star Jadon Sancho is more inclined to join Manchester United than Chelsea this summer.

Sancho had expressed his discontent at the Bundesliga club earlier this campaign in which he has scored 14 goals and assisted 15 times.

Chelsea remain firmly interested in acquiring the boyhood Chelsea fan, but may struggle to pay the €130 million (£115m) asking price set by Dortmund chief executive Hans-Joachim Watzke.

Chelsea given boost in hunt for Neuer

FC Bayern München legend Lothar Matthaus has criticised German international goalkeeper Manuel Neuer for the handling of his contract situation at the Bundesliga club.

According to a report in Metro Sport, this could potentially open the door for Chelsea to make a move for the 34-year-old who is out of contract at the end of next season.

Bayern recently acquired FC Schalke 04 goalkeeper Alexander Nübel – 11 years Neuer’s junior – who joins the club this summer.
