UEFA meeting live: End of season plans, player contracts, summer transfer window

Hello and welcome to our live coverage of UEFA’s latest meeting amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The European football governing body will hold its latest meeting with the general secretaries of its 55 members associations via video conference today, to share an update on the progress that is being made in an attempt to organise several options that could see the 2019/20 football season concluded.

The campaign right across Europe has come to a halt because of the coronavirus pandemic, with no clear image having yet been presented on when the season will definitely resume.

Professional football in England is currently suspended until April 30 at least, although that could be extended as the UK is currently in lockdown and the number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 is continuing to grow on a daily basis.

Player contracts, the summer transfer window and the future of European competitions are also expected to be on the agenda at the meeting.

You can follow what happens at the meeting here as we bring you live coverage of the meeting.
