Chelsea have already moved quickly to secure the services of Ajax playmaker Hakim Ziyech this summer but following a season without making a major addition, Frank Lampard will likely want to add more players to his squad.

Liverpool fans may be familiar with the name Luis Alberto from their matchday programmes back in the 2013-14 season. However, others may not be aware of the one-cap Spanish international’s exploits this season.

Ciro Immobile has stolen the headlines in the capital with an outstanding haul of 27 goals already this season, but it is Alberto who leads the assists charts with 12. In fact, Alberto has assisted Immobile on four occasions, as well as providing for Joaquín Correa on another four occasions.
Throughout the rest of Serie A, no assist to scorer combination has produced more than three goals this season.
Although the signing of Ziyech adds to an already sizeable midfield contingent at Stamford Bridge, Lampard may feel that Alberto could further enhance his side’s creativity.
