The Chelsea wonderkid who could save Roman Abramovich and Marina Granovskaia £150m

Jadon Sancho would not be an automatic starter for Chelsea if he completes a summer transfer.

That’s the view of former Blues defender Frank Sinclair.

The Borussia Dortmund wonderkid is a target for almost every top European club including the west London outfit as head coach Frank Lampard looks to bolster his squad even further after the arrival of Hakim Ziyech.

With 14 goals and 15 assists to his name in the Bundesliga this season, Sancho would be a fantastic addition to Chelsea and it’s no surprise that his reported price-tag is in the region of £150m.

However, according to Sinclair, the Blues already have a similar player to Sancho in Callum Hudson-Odoi.

The 19-year-old signed a new deal at Stamford Bridge earlier in the season, meaning owner Roman Abramovich and director Marina Granovskaia could save a fortune in the transfer market if they listen to Sinclair’s advice.

“Is Jadon Sancho any better than Callum Hudson-Odoi on that left-hand side?” Sinclair queried when speaking to GentingBet.

“When you look at the potential of both players, would you spend close to £150 million, which I’d expect would cost, to bring Jadon Sancho to this country or would you just stick to Callum Hudson-Odoi?

“Personally, I don’t think Jadon Sancho automatically gets into Chelsea’s team.”
