Olivier Giroud could remain at Chelsea next season, his agent has claimed.
The France international is a hugely experienced striker having been in London since 2012.
He spent six seasons at the Emirates before moving to Chelsea in 2017.
However, Giroud has found his game time limited in west London – particularly now Frank Lampard is in the hot seat.
The 33-year-old has managed just nine top flight appearances this term, with Tammy Abraham and Michy Batshuayi both ahead of him in the pecking order.
Giroud’s agent, Vincenzo Morabito, says he isn’t necessarily looking for an exit though.

“[Olivier] Giroud was an opportunity in January but now, given that the championships could also be played in June and July, he could decide to stay at Chelsea for another year,” Morabito told Calciomercato.it .
“However, everything is still uncertain, given the general situation which, in my opinion, may have cleared up in a few weeks, between the end of April and the beginning of May the picture could be more complete.”
Speaking earlier this season, Glenn Hoddle said he was surprised by Lampard’s decision to use Giroud sparingly.
“Well I am surprised that Giroud hasn’t played more football under Frank, I must say,” he explained.

“I think last year he did excellently. He’s a great sub as well, he hasn’t seemed to bring him on.”
Giroud could have even more competition up top if Lampard gets his own way.
The former midfielder wants to bring Jadon Sancho to Stamford Bridge.
The Borussia Dortmund forward has been a revelation in Germany and the Blues will lock horns with Manchester United for his services.
