‘Must be completed, null and void’ – What fans of all Premier League clubs want to happen next

Football across the globe has suffered a seismic shift on an unprecedented scale, with leagues across the world suspended indefinitely.

In the Premier League, it is the same situation after it was confirmed last week that the campaign would not resume in early May as initially planned – with no clear indication of what lies ahead.

It is no secret that the Premier League wants to complete the 2019-20 season and FIFA is prepared to make the necessary changes to the calendar to around leagues across the globe to complete their campaigns at a later date.

However, there is no way to tell when it will be a safe environment to do so and, the longer the delay, the more talk there is about more severe conclusions – including cancelling the season with the current standings or declaring the entire campaign null and void.

Both of those scenarios would come with significant legal difficulties and financial implications but rearranging the finale of the season in the summer months also provides a stern challenge, as there is plenty of red tape.

While experts, journalists, players and chairman of football clubs have had their say, the same question should be posed to fans – what exactly do they want to see happen to the 2019/20 season?
