Chelsea have two first team standard left backs at the moment in the form of Marcos Alonso and Emerson Palmieri, but both had indifferent seasons and have been linked with an exit from the club.
Numerous options have been suggested as replacements, such as Ben Chilwell, Alex Telles and Marc Cucurella.
That’s a decent spread of price tags and styles, and today a new name has been throw in into the hat by 90min.com – Layvin Kurzawa.
90min.com say that Arsenal want him, but that Chelsea also have him on their list of players who could slot in to that problem position in Frank Lampard’s team.
Kurzawa was very highly rated as a youngster, but has not quite lived up to that reputation in Paris, and has seen his stock fall in recent seasons. He would be a bargain buy compared to someone like Chilwell, but also a very risky one, considering his recent form and past disciplinary issues.
We reckon we should just leave him to Arsenal.
