Lautaro Martinez’s agent has reportedly been contacted by Chelsea over the possibility of a summer transfer.
The Inter Milan forward is attracting major interest from across Europe, with Manchester City and Barcelona also eyeing a big-money move.
The Catalan outfit are the clear favourites to land Martinez, 22, who currently has a £100m release clause in his contract.
Spanish publication Sport report that Chelsea have made an approach for the player, reaching out to his representatives to discuss a deal.
However, Martinez is said to be against a move to the Blues despite being undecided as to where he will be playing football next season.
Reports in Italy suggest no official offer has been launched by Chelsea, with questions marks surrounding whether the west London outfit have the funds to compete with Barcelona and City.
And Martinez’s agent has all-but confirmed a move to the Nou Camp is on the cards.
“There’s a very big possibility,” Sergio Zarate responded when asked about a Barca switch.
“He’s a great player. A tremendous player, this kid doesn’t have a ceiling.

“Those who they who rule, but it’s the player who decides.
“Leo [Messi] is there, I think he has a bit more chance of wanting to move beside the best (player) of all.
“Inter can want whatever they want, but the market rules.
“As always, when European giants want a player, they go with everything.
“Now what’s important is not the shirt.”
Former Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti even thinks Martinez could head to Barcelona, with Lionel Messi moving in the opposite direction.
“I don’t believe Messi is a forbidden dream at all. Maybe it never was even before all this misfortune,” he told RAI Sport.
“He is in the final stretch of his contract and, without doubt, it would take a tremendous effort to bring him here.
