There are some rumours over the last few months that just refuse to go away.
It seems unlikely that Chelsea boss Frank Lampard will sanction the sale of star midfielder N’Golo Kante right now, with surely all the major clubs in the world wanting to jump at the a chance to have such a player in their squad.
However, it might not be such an unrealistic thought. It could be Chelsea’s final chance to get a chunk of cash for the 29-year old French international, and baring in mind he has been constantly struggling with injury issues the last two seasons, it might be something the club could contemplate now.
Real Madrid are interested in signing Kante, and Chelsea have named their asking price, according to Diario Madridista.
However, they have already been priced out of the move according to the same report, who claim Chelsea are asking for between £70-£80 million for Kante, and the La Liga club do not want to pay that much.
