Hakim Ziyech will be a success at Chelsea.
That is the view of Hans de Jong and Boudewijn Pahlplatz, two coaches who have played a huge role in the attacking midfielder’s rise to becoming one of Europe’s finest players.
The Morocco international has already agreed to join the west London outfit this summer and his £33.4m transfer from Ajax is set to officially go through on July 1, 2020.

Although with the current season on hold because of the coronavirus pandemic, Ziyech’s arrival at Stamford Bridge could be delayed as FIFA have released a statement on player contracts which will have a big impact on the 27-year-old.
Whatever the scenario, the attacking midfielder will play for the Blues in the 2020/21 season.
And a couple of predictions from two people who arguably know Ziyech the best is likely to delight Chelsea supporters ahead of his £33.4m summer transfer.
“He has played in the Eredivisie for seven or eight years now and knows all about Holland,” Pahlplatz – who worked with Ziyech during a spell at FC Twente told Sky Sports.
“The step to the Premier League will do him good. He will be playing with the best players every day and that is a new challenge for him. I think he will do well there.
“He will have to get used to the amount of games and the physical side but in the end he will succeed, for sure.”
De Jong, who coached the midfielder in the Heerenveen U17’s, has played down suggestions that Ziyech might be too weak to cope with the physical demands that comes with playing in the Premier League.
“They are still saying that he has a problem with his physicality,” laughs De Jong.
