European paper round-up: Today’s transfer news including Lautaro Martinez and Eden Hazard

With the summer transfer window edging closer, the rumour mill is in churning quicker than ever across Europe.

Despite football’s huge financial uncertainty due to the coronavirus postponements, plenty of big money moves are still being mooted among the continent’s top clubs, including Barcelona, Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund.

Top Premier League sides are also credited with interest in some of Europe’s hottest talent, including Lauturo Martinez and Ansu Fati, among many others.

Meanwhile, there’s also an update on the fitness of Eden Hazard, who has been thrown a bone thanks to the postponements after being out of action since March with an ankle injury.

Lautaro linked with Barcelona

Barcelona coach Quique Setien has hinted once more that Inter striker Lautaro Martinez could be heading to Camp Nou – purely because of the lure of playing alongside his compatriot Lionel Messi.

“Lautaro Martinez is a great footballer,” La Gazzetta quote him saying . “Does Messi likes him? We will have to ask him. All good players can attract Barcelona’s interest – as well as that for many the fact of being able to play with Leo represents a huge incentive.”

Reports earlier had suggested that Barcelona would offer around 10 million euros to sign the 22-year-old Argentine, who has scored 16 goals already this season.
