The Premier League continue their discussions on plans to complete the 2019/20 season and that could see Chelsea back in action soon.
It has been almost two months since Frank Lampard’s side were last in action and there is plenty to fight for, with a top-four finish in sight and a Champions League clash with Bayern Munich still to be played.
While football has been left on hold, it has not brought a halt to the transfer speculation and Chelsea are being linked with a host of signings.
Here, we have identified a selection of the latest transfer rumours regarding the Blues.
Reported Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United target Federico Chiesa is in no hurry to leave Fiorentina.
The forward, who was linked with an exit earlier this week, has provided an update on his future.
“There are no negotiations, there is Fiorentina,” Chiesa told Corriere dello Sport .
“I do not have an agent, so I speak to the club and my father (former Fiorentina and Parma striker Enrico Chiesa) is always by my side. He is like my personal assistant!
“We never even considered hiring an agent, but I don’t know if that will continue in future. The rumour linking me with Francesco Totti’s agency was fake news and he was the first to contact the club to clarify that.
“I’ve spoken so much to the president, Joe Barone and Daniele Prade over the last year, but I am concentrated only on the present. I focus on working every day, achieving immediate objectives, first and foremost securing safety. We just hope to get back to playing and the rest will follow.”
PSG eye Bakayoko
Tiemoue Bakayoko is reportedly subject to interest from French giants PSG.
According to Le 10 Sport, the Frenchman, who has failed to fit in at Chelsea, is being eyed by the Parisians, who want to ‘add physicality’ to their midfield.
Bakayoko is currently on loan to Monaco, the team Chelsea signed him from for around £38m.
