Carlo Ancelotti ‘not surprised’ at Lampard as a manager, tips another former Blue ‘to be a good manager’ » Chelsea News

Current Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti is wholeheartedly loved by Chelsea supporters, and he always will be.

The Italian lead Chelsea to the League and Cup double in the 2009/10 season, and just as he will always hold a place in Chelsea fans hearts, the club will always hold a special place in his.

Ancelotti coached some of Chelsea greatest ever players to date, including current boss Frank Lampard.

But he also had Ashley Cole, Michael Ballack, John Terry, and Joe Cole just to name a few.

He has been speaking to Sky Sports in a very in-depth interview for The Football Show with Jamie Carragher, and Chelsea obviously came up quite a bit in conversation.

Ancelotti says he is not surprised that Frank Lampard has become a manager due to his great tactical knowledge when he played the game.

But he has also tipped Lampard’s former team mate and now current Aston Villa assistant manager John Terry, to also become a very good manager.

Ancelotti said:

“I’m not surprised [to see Lampard as a manager] because as a player, Frank had fantastic tactical qualities. I’m waiting now for Terry as a manager, now he’s an assistant, but I think they both have the qualities to be a good manager. Of course, Frank is doing really well at Chelsea now.”
