Chelsea Q&A: Willian contract, Project Restart plans, N’Golo Kante, Jadon Sancho transfer update

Hello and welcome to our latest live Chelsea Q&A.

Finally, there has been some non-contact action at Cobham with groups of no more than five starting work with the aim of seeing some competitive action in June.

There have also been two confirmed contract extensions with Olivier Giroud and Willy Caballero extending their stays by a year.

Willian is likely to remain until the end of the season and Pedro’s future remains unclear.

N’Golo Kante has been given compassionate leave owing to concerns over coronavirus, while there have also been unwanted off-field issues in the past week.

The Bundesliga is back again for another round of games and many eyes will be trained on Borussia Dortmund to see if Jadon Sancho starts for Lucien Favre’s side having been on the bench last weekend because of a minor calf injury.

Chelsea’s on-loan defender/midfielder Ethan Ampadu is struggling with a back issue so is likely to miss RB Leipzig’s game away to Mainz tomorrow, though TImo Werner will start that one.

Our senior reporter Alan Smith will be along at midday to answer all your questions about the Blues and more and there are several ways for you to get in touch.
