‘Marina out’ – Chelsea fans fume over reported move for Arsenal target instead of Ben Chilwell

One position Frank Lampard needs to strengthen ahead of the 2020/21 season is left-back.

The Chelsea boss has had a number of issues in that area of the pitch since taking on the job and it really has become a problem for him.

Emerson Palmieri started the campaign in the starting XI but soon found himself back on the sidelines, with Marcos Alonso having two different spells as first-choice left-back since August after falling out of favour over the winter months.

It was in fact the Spaniard who finished in the team prior to the break in play due to the coronavirus pandemic, but it was clear to see that he performs much better operating as a left wing-back where he doesn’t have as much responsibility in terms of defending.

The Frenchman is out of contract in the French capital at the end of the season and he could potentially be set to make a move to the Premier League amid reported interest from Arsenal.

However, talk of a move for the 27-year-old hasn’t exactly gone down well with Chelsea fans.

Here’s what Blues supporters have had to say on Twitter about Kurzawa:
