N’Golo Kante

The last few weeks have been a real boost for Lampard to see N’Golo Kante be involved in full contact training and the matches.

The World Cup winner had real concerns about returning to action and was granted compassionate leave by the club due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Kante will be crucial to the end of the season and the fact he featured in the wins over Reading and QPR means that some of those concerns may have been allayed.

Chelsea will not rush him back, however, or force him to play, but if Kante does feel safe to return then he will feature heavily.

Tammy Abraham

The number nine was struggling with an ankle injury before the season was suspended, however he has had the chance to recover.

The England international featured in the two matches, and although he didn’t find the back of the net he appears to have recovered from the ankle problem.

Abraham will have to battle with Olivier Giroud for the starting position, but it’s likely he will get the chance to start once again.
