Chelsea handed Ben Chilwell transfer alternative as PSG make Layvin Kurzawa decision

Chelsea could reignite their interest in Brazilian left-back Alex Telles after French giants Paris-Saint German made the decision to end their interest in landing the Porto defender.

Telles has been heavily linked with both Chelsea and PSG over the last few months, but it appeared as though the French club had won the race to land his signature after successful talks with Porto.

However, according to a report by Record, the Ligue 1 club have now pulled the plug on their interest in Telles, as they have now offered Layvin Kurzawa, who looked set to leave the Parc des Princes this summer to explore a new adventure, a new contract, meaning their needs to sign a new left-back have been quickly reduced.

Chelsea had been heavily linked with Telles prior to the news that PSG looked set to seal a deal for his signature, meaning Frank Lampard, who is desperate to bolster the left-back berth at Stamford Bridge this summer, could now reignite his interest in the 27-year-old.

However, Chelsea, of course, have their heart set on landing Leicester City and England star Ben Chilwell in their attempts to strengthening the left-back position this summer.

But with Leicester likely to demand a sizeable fee for the 23-year-old, making a move for Telles may be seen as the cheaper option, especially when the Blues have already splashed out big money on Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner, as well as lining up a move for Bayer Leverkusen star Kai Havertz.
