Chelsea’s best line-up if Marina Granovskaia completes deal for Jamie Carragher’s dream signing

These are incredibly exciting times to be a Chelsea supporter.

The Blues are hot on the heels of third-placed Leicester City in the Premier League table, they have advanced to the semi-finals of the FA Cup and they are making some rather loud noises in the transfer market.

With all of that said, Chelsea are a club heading in the right direction.

After being hit with a transfer ban by FIFA last summer, the Blues have wasted little time in making attempts to bolster their squad ahead of next season, already concluding deals for Hakim Ziyech from Ajax, who will officially join the club on Wednesday, and RB Leipzig ace Timo Werner.

And despite the fact that the Blues have had to pay more than £75million to land both Werner and Ziyech, they are showing no signs of slowing down as the opening of the transfer window draws closer and closer.

It is understood by football.london that the Blues are keen on landing the services of Leicester City left-back Ben Chilwell and highly-rated Germany international Kai Havertz from Bayer Leverkusen, as head coach Frank Lampard looks to assemble a squad that could close the gap on the likes of Liverpool and Manchester City at the Premier League’s summit in an attempt to turn the Blues into genuine title contenders once again.

But Havertz is not the only Bundesliga star to have been heavily linked with a move to Stamford Bridge in recent months, with Chelsea having been heavily linked with Borussia Dortmund and England sensation Jadon Sancho.

The Blues, who face West Ham United at the London Stadium on Wednesday evening, are long-term admirers of the winger and are continuing to keep tabs on his progress alongside Manchester United, who have identified the former Watford youngster as their number one transfer target ahead of the next window opening for business.
