Angel Gomes departs Man United with message to Mason Greenwood amid Chelsea transfer links

Chelsea-linked Angel Gomes has taken to social media to thank Manchester United star Mason Greenwood.

Greenwood scored United’s opener in their 3-0 win over Brighton on Tuesday night and dedicated his celebration to Gomes, making an ‘A’ sign with his hands.

Gomes has now officially left Old Trafford after 14 years, rejecting a new contract offer from United.

The 19-year-old attacking midfielder leaves following a nice touch from good friend Greenwood, who paid homage to someone he has come right through the United academy with in his celebration.
