Chelsea supporters have lashed out at the club over their new home kit.
The Blue strip with black trim includes a large logo of new sponsor Three UK, which is reminiscent of the current Republic of Ireland international outfit, and is set to be worn by Frank Lampard’s side before the current Premier League season finishes.
The design is said to be ‘inspired by the traditional craft of London tailoring’ with a herringbone-knit pattern that will be worn throughout the 2020/21 season.
It will be available to buy from July 9 and has been released alongside the hashtags #ItsAChelseaThing and #ThePrideOfLondon.
Chelsea will wear the kit on Wednesday evening against West Ham
In response, one fan simply said: “Worst kit in Chelsea history.”
With a second adding: “That logo is embarrassing! Hope we are getting a lot of money.”
A third continued: “Worst kit ever made.”
With a fourth saying: “Ugly, I won’t be buying this season I guess.”
