“I’ve still got West Ham in my head, so I was slightly surprised.
“It’s a small thing to be proud of, these are not the huge, important things, but it shows our good form, 5 in 5 in that period, playing some good stuff.
“Obviously it was disappointing against West Ham, we know that, but before that we’ve been on a good run.
“That’s always a collective award, as a manager you can take it personally, but it’s more the work of the players and the staff included.”

Anniversary of your official appointment against Watford, eventful year…
“Well yeah, it certainly has.
“And something I’m very proud to be doing, and to be offered the opportunity to do, one year ago.
“It feels like a long time ago but at the same time it’s flown by.
“It’s one of those, there’s a lot that’s happened and a lot of crazy circumstances for everybody.
“But the experience alone of being Chelsea manager has been a great one, there’s a lot of work to do so I can think about it and have some good and some not so good memories in the year.
“But I’m very much more focused on what the next years ahead look like.
Anything you would change?
“Well there are always lots of little things.
“Football at this end the result doesn’t always mirror your work, or what you expect or for whatever reason things can change.
“So I think you can always look back and I’m very much one to look over decisions I make, the way I and we work and try to analyse it.
“And maybe you think differently with retrospect.
“But not really, I look forward, if there are any things that haven’t quite gone to plan, we’ll work to get them better for the future.”
