Exodus to fund Havertz

Chelsea are looking to sell six players to fund a swoop for Bayer Leverkusen sensation Kai Havertz, according to The Express.

Marcos Alonso, Michy Batshuayi, Tiemoue Bakayoko, Kenedy, Danny Drinkwater and Emerson Palmieri are the six players named in the report who will be allowed to leave.

The Blues are believed to be keen on landing Havertz this summer, but are likely to face competition from a host of clubs from around Europe.

Chelsea have stepped up their interest in Declan Rice as Frank Lampard aims to strengthen his side this summer.

According to a report in The Times, Lampard has identified the 21-year-old as a potential centre half who could help to solve their defensive frailties.
