Here are your Chelsea morning headlines for Tuesday, 7 July.

Havertz aware of Chelsea interest

Bayer Leverkusen ace Kai Havertz is aware of interest from Chelsea, even though the club is yet to make an offer.

That is according to a report in German publication Bild, via football.london, which claims the player’s entourage is aware of the Blues’ interest.

Havertz is likely to cost £90million and the Express believe Marcos Alonso, Michy Batshuayi, Tiemoue Bakayoko, Kenedy, Emerson Palmieri and Danny Drinkwater could all make way to raise funds.

Blues boss Frank Lampard has also addressed the Havertz rumours.

“He’s obviously a top player, but to carry on from my answer before I’m certainly not going to comment on other players at other teams,” Lampard said, in quotes carried by football.london.” And it cannot be our focus. So, nothing to say.

“No. No bids have gone in.”
