How Chelsea could line-up with Aaron Ramsey after Frank Lampard ‘offered’ Juventus star

Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has reportedly been offered the chance to bring former Arsenal star Aaron Ramsey back to the Premier League.

Ramsey left the Emirates on a free last summer but has struggled for regular game-time at the Serie A giants.

Juventus are believed to be keen on Chelsea midfielder Jorginho with reports suggesting Lampard would be willing to let his man leave Stamford Bridge.

Italian outlet Tutto Mercato Web report that Juve have offered Ramsey in exchange for Jorginho but this was knocked back by the Blues, who are only willing to accept a cash offer.

Jorginho cost Chelsea £58m two years ago when he arrived from Napoli with Maurizio Sarri, who is now boss of Juventus.

Should Jorginho leave, N’Golo Kante may slot back into the holding midfield role with the likes of Ramsey and Mateo Kovacic ahead of the Frenchman.

That could leave Lampard with a fresh attack with new signings Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner potentially joining Christian Pulisic in a front three.

Bumper moves for Bayer Leverkusen star Kai Havertz and Leicester City left-back Ben Chilwell have also been suggested with Lampard expected to remain busy in the summer transfer window.

Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher believes Blues boss Frank Lampard will look to cash in on Jorginho this summer, writing in his Telegraph column: “He must have his mind up made about many of those he inherited from Sarri.

“I can see Jorginho rejoining Sarri at Juventus. Jorginho’s recent omission for youngster Billy Gilmour was a nod to the future.”
