Chelsea head coach Frank Lampard will be looking to secure his first piece of silverware of his managerial career when the Blues face Arsenal in Saturday’s FA Cup final at Wembley.

Chelsea brought a successful 2019/20 Premier League campaign to an end last Sunday with a 2-0 home triumph over Wolverhampton Wanderers, with Mason Mount and Olivier Giroud both scoring the goals that secured a top-four finish, which, of course, also secured a spot in next season’s Champions League.

The Blues, though, can ill-afford to get too carried away with themselves, as they now face an Arsenal side who will be in desperate need themselves of ending the campaign with a trophy, especially when they know winning the FA Cup is their only route into Europe for next season.

But Chelsea will not be bothered about that, as they will have their eyes firmly fixed on the prize, as they look to inflict revenge on the Gunners for their FA Cup final defeat back in 2017.

And ahead of Saturday’s trip across the capital to Wembley, Chelsea’s players have been working hard at their Cobham training base as they look to try and end the domestic season with a piece of silverware to their name.

But what did we notice from the training session? Here are four things picked out.

Werner trains

He may not be allowed to feature in Saturday’s final against Mikel Arteta’s side, but new Chelsea signing Timo Werner was involved in Friday’s session in the sunshine.

The Germany international joined the Blues from German outfit RB Leipzig last month and started to train with his new teammates earlier this week after arriving in England on Sunday ahead of the clash with Wolves at Stamford Bridge.
