Chelsea are edging closer and closer towards sealing a deal for Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Kai Havertz, football.london understands.
The Blues, who have already added Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner to their squad this summer, are desperate to sign the 21-year-old attacking-midfielder, as Frank Lampard, the Blues head coach, looks to strengthen his attacking options.
It is understood that Havertz is desperate to seal a move to Stamford Bridge ahead of the 2020/21 campaign, with the midfielder having reportedly agreed the terms presented to him by the Blues.
The sticking point, however, seemingly remains the transfer fee itself, with talks continuing to rumble on between the Blues and Leverkusen.

With that in mind, here is a round-up of everything we know so far about Chelsea’s pursuit of the midfielder and what the very latest developments are.
Six attributes that could make Havertz the ideal signing for Chelsea
Chelsea may have already secured the signing of Ajax sensation Ziyech for next season but you can never have too much quality, right?
If the Blues were to win the race for the midfielder, who would have had ambitions to represent Germany at this summer’s European Championships had they not been suspended because of the coronavirus pandemic, he would add an extra wealth of quality to Lampard’s options.

And that is an opinion held by Leverkusen assistant boss Marcel Daum, who has outlined the midfielder’s qualities.
He told talkSPORT: “If you see his movement, he’s very elegant, he’s always calm, he has great passing ability. What a lot of people don’t see, because we watch him every day, is that he’s pretty fast. That’s a big bonus.
“He’s a great player; he’s scoring goals, he’s great in the air and he’s pretty fast.
