Chelsea have the chance to win their ninth FA Cup trophy today but N’Golo Kante will have to come off the bench if he is going to make an impact.
The World Cup winner has struggled with injuries throughout the 2019/20 campaign and he has not featured since a hamstring problem during the win over Watford.
While the midfielder has recovered enough to be on the bench for the FA Cup final against Arsenal, he is only on the bench.
Frank Lampard has stuck with the same starting XI of the team who beat Wolverhampton Wanderers last weekend to clinch a Champions League spot.
That means that Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic will partner each other in the heart of the midfield, with Kante expected to come off the bench if needed.
But Blues supporters aren’t thrilled that the 29-year-old is not starting the match at Wembley.
Willian has also been struggling with an injury, however, and he hasn’t made the squad for the matchday.
The Brazilian has also been linked with a move to the Gunners, with his contract coming to an end with the Blues.
