Winners, losers and the unsung hero as Arsenal get one over Chelsea to win FA Cup

Arsenal extended their record number of wins to 14 after a tight 2-1 win over Chelsea at Wembley on Saturday evening.

Christian Pulisic got the Blues off to the best possible start after breezing past the Arsenal defence and sending his shot across goal to open the scoring inside the opening five minutes.

With the Gunners trailing 1-0, Aubameyang got the better of Cesar Azpilicueta and looked to be bearing down on goal after being put through, but the Gunners skipper went down under pressure from the Spaniard before tucking home the resulting penalty.

Tensions raised in the second half, but so did Arsenal’s performance, and they turned to that man Aubameyang again as he made Kurt Zouma look foolish before dinking the ball over Willy Caballero.

Mateo Kovacic then saw red in bizarre fashion for two yellows, with Arsenal holding firm until the final whistle.

Arsenal can not lose him this summer – at any cost!

It was a shame to see him go off with an injury early in the second half, because at times Pulisic was easily the best player on the pitch.

He took his goal exceptionally well to put Chelsea on the front foot, and they looked limp without him.

The American is a serious player, and he will no doubt lead the Blues to silverware in the future.
