As we know, Chelsea are working hard to strengthen their defence this summer as Frank Lampard contemplates potential reinforcements at the back.
One player who could fit the profile of defender needed is Brighton captain Lewis Dunk.
He has a great aerial presence, commands the box, and is a great leader on the pitch – all assets that Chelsea are missing on the field.
Chelsea were interested in signing Dunk back in January, as reported by The Sun and others at the time.
Interestingly enough, his name is now being linked with Chelsea once again as you browse social media on Monday afternoon.
This appears to stem from a claim from a Brighton fan who has often tweeted information on the club.
Obviously you need to take this tweet with a pinch of salt and it is merely speculation, but he claims that a source has told him that Dunk to Chelsea is ‘on the cards’ once again.
Can’t reveal source (I know, I know) but Dunk to Chelsea is on the cards. #bhafc
Would be gutted to see him go, but can’t deny he’d be entitled to such a great opportunity.
Hopefully the deal will be good for us… oh and surely no doubt about #benwhitestaying 😂

It might be a story worth keeping an eye on at the very least…
