Blues closing in on Chilwell
Chelsea are reportedly closing in on a deal to sign Ben Chilwell from Leicester City after months of speculation.
The left-back has long been heavily linked with a move to Stamford Bridge, having been identified as one of Frank Lampard’s top targets.
According to The Times, the Blues are now closing in on a deal after making a breakthrough in negotiations over a potential fee.
The Foxes were demanding £80million for the England international and, while a fee could set a new record for a full-back, it’s reported it isn’t as high as Leicester’s initial demands.
Hammers reject Rice swap deal
West Ham have reportedly rejected a proposed swap deal from Chelsea for Declan Rice.
The versatile England international is being heavily linked with a move to Stamford Bridge, with Frank Lampard said to be eyeing him up as a solution to his issues at centre-back.
He’s been denied in his pursuit though according to The Times, who say that West Ham were offered both Michy Batshuayi and Ross Barkley in exchange.
The Hammers are instead holding out in the hope that the Blues will eventually meet their £80million valuation.
