Chelsea are reportedly interested in signing Manchester City flop John Stones, even if they are successful in their efforts to land Brighton ’s Lewis Dunk.
The Blues are being linked with a £40million move for Seagulls defender Dunk as Frank Lampard looks to bolster his leaky defence for next season.
The 28-year-old was a boyhood Chelsea fan and would likely jump at the chance of moving to Stamford Bridge if the opportunity arose.

Acquiring the vastly experienced Dunk from Brighton could also be a very shrewd signing for Lampard.
The centre-back has played for the south coast club for a decade and in three divisions with them, so would be happy to get his hands dirty if needs be.
