Trevoh Chalobah has been strongly linked with a move to Ligue 1 side Lorient on loan.
There were a few whispers on Twitter, and now today’s Daily Mail is reporting it as likely.
It’s a really interesting move, and perhaps a make or break one for Chalobah when it comes to his future.
That’s not to say that his previous spells in Huddersfield and Ipswich haven’t been impressive – quite the opposite in fact. But he needs a top level move now, and if one isn’t opening up in the Premier Leaugue, Ligue 1 could be ideal.
His chances of making it at Chelsea do look slim at this stage, but he’s shown he has all the tools to be a really good player at a high level, and though it’s undeniably a risk, the potential reward of playing regularly in France against top sides in front of major teams’ scouts is huge.
