Chelsea billboard taunts old boss Jose Mourinho over Tottenham Amazon documentary

Chelsea were taunted after a billboard of former boss Jose Mourinho was put up close to Stamford Bridge – but they got their own back.

Portuguese boss Mourinho is now manager of their bitter rivals Tottenham, who have a new Amazon documentary about to be released.

The All or Nothing series on Prime Video followed Spurs last season and will highlight the campaign in never before seen behind-the-scenes footage.

In an obvious dig at Chelsea fans, the billboard, which is located on Putney High Street, reads: “Ever wondered what your ex is up to”, alongside an image of Mourinho.

But, shortly after seeing Mourinho referred to as their “ex”, the Blues decided to answer back in their own sly dig.

A statement on the club’s website read: “Billed as an eight-part series which provides a ‘behind-the-scenes look at an eventful 2019/20 season for Spurs’, the show could actually appeal for Blues fans given how the season went for our London rivals.

“During the course of the campaign, they dismissed manager Mauricio Pochettino and replaced him with Mourinho, lost twice in the Premier League to Chelsea and finished sixth to miss out on Champions League qualification.”

The first three episodes of the eight-part documentary will land next Monday, with the others to fall soon after.

It begins with Mourinho’s arrival at the club only 24 hours after Pochettino was sacked last November.

Fans will also be able to see Son Heung-min’s reaction to being sent off against Chelsea, Harry Kane ’s serious injury, and Eric Tier climbing the stands.

Mourinho and Spurs will be hoping to better their sixth place finish in the Premier League last season and gain some ground on Chelsea.
