Wolves, Crystal Palace, Fulham and Birmingham eyeing deals
More updates from our man Dave Armitage:
Wolves risk losing out in their chase to land Arsenal defender Ainsley Maitland-Niles.
The Midlands club have tested the water with a £15m bid which was instantly dismissed by The Gunners who are looking for nearer £20m.
The 22-year-old is not needed due to a surplus of defensive players but boss Mikel Arteta won’t let him go on the cheap.
Wolves know they will have to move quickly with the right kind of offer with a number of other clubs interested.
Crystal Palace look set to pip West Brom and Fulham in the race to sign QPR wideman Eberechi Eze.
Newly promoted West Brom have put in a £17m offer for the England under-21 star but the player is believed to be keen to join Palace.
Birmingham are interested in taking experienced Middlesbrough midfielder Adam Clayton who has been told he can leave by boss Neil Warnock.
And finally, Fulham are hoping to land a £15m deal for Nottingham Forest defender Matty Cash who was interesting Sheffield United.
