Chelsea transfer rumours: Thiago Silva deal imminent as Blues given green light for Kai Havertz

Chelsea are dominating the transfer headlines this summer with a number of high-profile signings.

The Blues have already wrapped up three big-money deals and they are not done, ploughing ahead in their pursuit of the likes of Kai Havertz and Thiago Silva.

Frank Lampard will be hoping to have both of those deals done and maybe more by the time the new Premier League season kicks off on September 12.

Thiago SIlva announcement imminent

Chelsea are set to announce the signing of Thiago Silva.

The Brazillian is expected to wrap up his move to Stamford Bridge in the coming days after leaving PSG following their Champions League final defeat to Bayern.

Silva’s contract expired in Paris this summer, making him a free signing for the Blues.

Reports suggest he will become the latest Chelsea arrival, following the signing of Ben Chilwell on Wednesday.

Blus to offload quartet

Chelsea are to offload no fewer than four players this summer to fund their spending spree.

According to the Star, the Blues are looking to sell Michy Batshuayi, Tiemoue Bakayoko, Emerson and Davide Zappacosta.

Chelsea have already signed Timo Werner, Hakim Ziyech and Ben Chilwell, and Thiago Silva and Malang Sarr are expected to join on free deals.

They are not expected to stop there, either, with Bayer Leverkusen star Kai Havertz heavily linked.

But to fund all that business Chelsea could be forced to offload a number of players, and it seems Batshuayi, Bakayoko, Emerson and Zappacosta could be the players to make space.
